What are the responsibilities and job description for the Molding Supervisor position at Precision Valve and Careers?
SCOPE: The Molding supervisor will monitor and direct the activities of the mold technicians, material handlers, and 1 operators on a daily basis.
Duties
Give daily assignments to production employees
Review plant production throughout the shift to ensure daily production requirements are reached
Continuously monitor press conditions, cycle status and grind status
Set-up and maintain shift manning
Continuously monitor and maintain plant cleanliness
Monitor and complete required production documentation.
Continuously monitor plant floor activities.
Assist upper management and other departments with continuous Improvement projects.
Administers training, resolves personnel issues, and coordinates ISO documentation and related activities to ensure that subordinates are properly prepared to safely work in the assembly department.
Promotes an atmosphere of continuous improvement to reduce internal and external defects.
Maintains an accident-free work environment.
Ensures that the department is in compliance with applicable ISO9000 requirements.
Consistently and fairly administers company policy as pertains to safety, ISO9000 and personnel issues.
Education & Requirements
AS Degree desired
High School Diploma or GED/ required
7-10 years of experience in a related field
Self motivated individual that has the ability to lead and exhibits good interpersonal traits
Excellent computer skills needed
Must have good communication skills
Fast paced, team oriented environment
Experience
Required- 2 - 5 years: Manufacturing
