What are the responsibilities and job description for the FV Supervisor position at Precision Valve and Careers?
Scope: The Final Assembly Supervisor will be responsible for the smooth operation of the Final Assembly Department. They will be the go-to person on the shift with regard to schedule issues, inventory availability, job changeovers and will refer any safety issues and performance issues to the Production Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
Safety and housekeeping
Ensure Operator is following the Final Assembly Production schedule.
Assigned lines running through break. Support other Operators as needed.
Communicate with Supervisors, leads and/or Production Managers on problems or issues affecting completion of jobs and on daily events that took place during the course of the day.
- Direct material handlers in activities to support department.
- Assign operators to lines and schedule break relief.
- Coordinate and schedule PTO
- PR components into the department if needed.
- Make labels if required.
- Enter machine scrap and machine production to the OEE and SOP.
- Approve employees time
- Order supplies such as : Markers , Simple green, Shrink wrap ,ear plugs, tape
- Check in coil trucks and any other shipments that arrives at pant 2.
- Ensure parts and products are consistent with all QC procedures.
- Maintain housekeeping standards for the department.
- Perform any and all other tasks as determined by management.
Minimum Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must be able to speak, read and write English
- Must have basic computer skills
- Must be able to match numbers
- Must have good communication skills.
Experience
Required- 2 - 5 years: Manufacturing Experience
