Job Title: Speech Therapist
Location: Canton, GA
Shift: 8 Hour Days (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, varies)
Position: Speech Therapist – Acute Care
Hours: 40 hours/week
Start/End Date: 04/13/2026 – 07/11/2026
Radius Rule: No local candidates within 50 miles
Department: Speech Therapy – Acute Care
Responsibilities:
Provide speech therapy services for acute care patients based on physician orders
Treat a wide range of conditions including stroke/neurological, dysphagia, respiratory compromise, and cognitive impairments
Support ICU and general acute care patient populations
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
Document patient progress and treatment plans accurately
Requirements:
Minimum 2 years of speech therapy experience required
Active SLP license required
CCC-SLP required
Acute care experience strongly preferred
MBS/FEES proficiency preferred but not required
Ability to work required weekend rotation (minimum 2 weekends per 4 weeks, 4 preferred)
Certifications:
BLS
