Feeder / Press Assistant (1st Shift)
Location: Fullerton
Shift: 1st Shift, Monday-Friday, 5:00 AM - 1:30 PM
Pay Range: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour, based on experience
Overtime: Available as needed
Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Feeder / Press Assistant to join our pressroom team. This position will assist the Pressman in the operation of our Heidelberg CX104 6-Color Coater UV/LED Press. The ideal candidate will have printing industry experience, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to producing high-quality work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Heidelberg press experience is a plus, but not required.
Essential Responsibilities
- Assist the Pressman in the setup, operation, and maintenance of the Heidelberg CX104 UV/LED press.
- Maintain a continuous supply of paper stock and materials to ensure efficient press operation.
- Prepare and stage paper, inks, coatings, plates, and other pressroom materials.
- Inspect sheets and finished products for quality and consistency.
- Support press wash-ups, changeovers, and preventative maintenance activities.
- Remove waste materials and keep the press area clean and organized.
- Follow production schedules and assist in meeting daily production goals.
- Adhere to all company safety procedures and quality standards.
- Communicate effectively with the Pressman and production team regarding job status and production needs.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a printing, manufacturing, or production environment preferred.
- Heidelberg press experience is a plus.
- Ability to read and follow work orders, production instructions, and quality standards.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Dependable attendance and punctuality.
- Willingness to work overtime when required.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods during the shift.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to bend, reach, push, pull, and move materials throughout the production area.
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing/pressroom environment.
