We are seeking a highly skilled and certified Avionics Technician III to join our dynamic team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the installation, testing, troubleshooting, and repair of sophisticated avionics systems, ensuring strict compliance with FAA, FCC, and company regulations. Your expertise will be vital to the safety and airworthiness of our aircraft.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform installation, testing, troubleshooting, and repair of avionics components and systems.
- Interpret and apply technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, and maintenance manuals to perform precise work.
- Route and install wiring harnesses per technical drawings, demonstrating advanced skills in wiring repair, soldering, and crimping.
- Maintain and calibrate test equipment, tools, and technical publications.
- Ensure all work is performed in accordance with FAA, FCC, and company policies and regulations.
- Perform inspections on aircraft structures, equipment, and systems as part of a safety-sensitive team.
Basic Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- 5 or more years of relevant avionics experience.
- Must possess and maintain a personal set of tools in good working order.
- Ability to understand and interpret technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, and manuals.
- Advanced, hands-on skills in avionics installation tooling, wiring, wiring repair, soldering, and crimping techniques.
- A higher-level degree may substitute for experience. Related experience may be considered in lieu of required education.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with FCC regulations and FCC General Radiotelephone Operator License (GROL).
- Basic understanding of test equipment such as spectrometers, oscilloscopes, and pitot-static systems.
- Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense, or US Military.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance.
