Duties

• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, plastering, caulking, and applying primer to ensure optimal paint adhesion and finish quality
• Use hand tools and power tools such as brushes, rollers, airless paint sprayers, and scaffolding to apply paints, stains, and coatings accurately and efficiently
• Read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to determine project scope and specific requirements for residential and commercial painting jobs
• Perform renovation work including drywall repair, trim carpentry, stucco application, masonry finishing, and fixture installation to support comprehensive project execution
• Execute specialized tasks such as industrial painting, restoration projects, concrete finishing, welding touch-ups, and maintenance work on various surfaces
• Operate construction estimating techniques to assess project materials and timeframes accurately
• Collaborate with team members on schematics interpretation and construction site coordination to ensure seamless project flow

Requirements

• Proven experience in construction painting with knowledge of residential and commercial painting techniques
• Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and basic math skills for measuring surfaces and calculating paint quantities
• Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools including airless spray equipment, scaffolding setup, caulking guns, and other relevant tools
• Knowledge of color theory for selecting appropriate hues and finishes tailored to client preferences or project specifications
• Experience in related trades such as carpentry (trim or frame), plastering, masonry or masonry finishing is highly desirable
• Ability to work safely on construction sites with knowledge of construction site protocols and safety standards
• Strong handyman skills including fixture installation, restoration work, concrete finishing or masonry work are a plus

Pay: $23.70 - $30.00 per hour
