PPM is seeking a full-time Production Manager to lead a high-performing CAD/BIM team responsible for delivering high-quality As-Built documentation for residential, multi-family, commercial, hospitality, and industrial buildings across the country.

ABOUT YOU
- You’re a drafting expert. You have at least 3-5 years of experience in the AEC industry (preferably in drafting or architecture) working on a wide variety of projects. You have working familiarity with point cloud files in an Autodesk environment. Other Autodesk and CAD/BIM related software knowledge is a bonus.
- You’re a people manager. You are a natural leader with experience managing teams, who provides a grounded, approachable, and confident leadership presence. You demonstrate a strong desire and commitment to help others learn and succeed. You are highly service-oriented and approachable while still maintaining standards, boundaries, and accountability.
- You’re an operational production leader. You balance technical CAD/BIM expertise with team leadership, operational decision-making, communication, and process improvement to keep production organized, efficient, and on schedule. You thrive in fast-moving environments that require balancing multiple priorities, rapid task-switching, sound judgement, and consistent follow-through. You have the CAD/BIM expertise to directly support complex projects utilizing both vendors and in-house staff.
- You’re an organized documentation nerd. You can create and update thorough documentation that simply communicates CAD/BIM processes to ensure all projects are completed efficiently and to standard. You utilize time management skills to balance multiple projects and priorities at once. You enjoy creating order within complex workflows and adapting quickly when priorities shift.
- You are an excellent communicator. You can clearly and concisely articulate your thoughts through email, and you don’t hesitate to have a direct conversation or make a phone call when it is needed. You find immense value in listening to and supporting others – especially clients and your team. You are comfortable delivering praise and criticism in a clear, constructive, and positive way that encourages others to improve.
THINGS YOU WILL DO
This is a full-time (40 hour /week) position. In a typical week you may be expected to:
- Implement and maintain project management systems to ensure all post-survey production timelines for the team are successfully scheduled and executed
- Oversee day-to-day CAD & BIM production and provide live project support when needed
- Streamline CAD & BIM Production pathways from Project Acceptance to Project Delivery
- Recruit, test, and develop CAD & BIM vendors to keep PPM’s capacity flexible and scalable
- Develop and support a team of senior level CAD & BIM production leads and supervisors who can balance speed, quality, and consistency at a high level while maintaining the highest standards
- Provide direct training and support for production staff supporting large-scale projects who need to learn PPM’s processes and standards
- Collaborate with team leadership on production and organizational strategies that will build a foundation for growth through operational efficiency
- Quickly develop solutions to keep CAD & BIM production schedules productive and balanced amid high-volume production and off-peak periods
