Precision Practice Management – Gateway Regional Medical Center – Emergency Department
Pay Range: $16.20 - $24.30 per hour (plus shift/weekend differential)
Full-Time | 5 days per week; Part-Time | 24 hours per week
Every other weekend required
Three positions available: Evening/Nights, Overnights, and Floating (PT)

We are accepting applications for an . This position plays a key role in supporting patient flow and providing compassionate customer service in a fast-paced Emergency Department environment.

Shift Options (Three Positions Available)

• Evening/Nights Shift: 5:00 PM – 1:30 AM
• Night Shift: 11:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Float Shift – Part-time: Varies
• Schedule includes five (5) 8-hour shifts per week or three (3) 8-hour shifts for part-time
• Every other weekend rotation required
• Holidays and additional coverage may be required based on departmental needs
• Differential pay available for overnight shifts and weekends
• Weekend on-call pay

Key Responsibilities

• Register patients accurately and efficiently in the Emergency Department
• Verify and update patient demographic and insurance information
• Obtain signatures, consent forms, and required documentation
• Maintain compliance with HIPAA and confidentiality standards
• Communicate clearly and professionally with patients, families, and clinical staff
• Provide courteous and compassionate service during stressful situations
• Meet productivity and accuracy expectations
• Answer phones, assist with inquiries, and support ER workflows as needed

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Prior experience in registration, patient access, or customer service preferred (healthcare strongly preferred)
• Medical Terminology and/or insurance knowledge a plus
• Insurance verification or eligibility experience preferred
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a high-volume setting
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to remain calm, professional, and empathetic during emergencies
• Basic computer skills; typing competency may be required

Pay is determined based on years and relevance of experience, specific skills, and assigned work shift. Final compensation will be reviewed with Human Resources to ensure fairness and alignment with qualifications.
