What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Office Assistant position at Precision Oncology?
We are currently looking for an Administrative Assistant (CMA is a plus) to join our team in the Summit & Union offices of our bustling Hematology/Oncology practice. As an Administrative Assistant, you will play an essential role in delivering exceptional healthcare to our patients. Previous reception desk experience is a must. Knowledge of EPIC EMR with hematology/oncology experience is also a plus.
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform various clinical tasks, including administering medications
- Update patient charts and medical records, ensuring accuracy and completeness
- Assist with patient check-in and check-out, including scheduling appointments and verifying insurance coverage
- Communicate with patients about their healthcare needs, including medication instructions and test results
- Maintain a clean and organized office environment
- Assist with administrative duties as required, including answering phones and responding to patient inquiries.
Qualifications:
- Certified Medical Assistant with prior experience is a plus
- Knowledge of EPIC EMR is a plus
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines.
