About the Role:

The Pro Mechanical - Scaffold Builder Foreman plays a critical leadership role in overseeing the safe and efficient construction, maintenance, and dismantling of scaffolding structures within the oil and gas extraction and mining industries. This position ensures that all scaffolding activities comply with industry safety standards and project specifications, directly impacting the safety of personnel and the success of operational timelines. The foreman coordinates and supervises scaffold builders, manages resources, and communicates effectively with project managers and safety officers to maintain workflow continuity. By proactively identifying potential hazards and implementing corrective measures, the foreman fosters a culture of safety and quality on site. Ultimately, this role is essential for delivering structurally sound scaffolding solutions that support complex mechanical and extraction operations at Pro Mechanical, FPC locations.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in scaffolding construction within the oil and gas or mining industries.
  • Proven experience in a supervisory or foreman role overseeing scaffold building teams.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of OSHA scaffolding standards and safety regulations.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and project specifications.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in scaffolding safety and inspection (e.g., CISRS, SSP).
  • Experience working in large-scale oil and gas or mining extraction projects.
  • First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Strong background in mechanical or structural engineering principles related to scaffolding.
  • Familiarity with project management software and digital reporting tools.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and supervise a team of scaffold builders to construct, modify, and dismantle scaffolding systems according to project plans and safety regulations.
  • Conduct daily safety briefings and ensure all team members adhere to OSHA and company safety standards.
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and safety personnel to align scaffolding activities with overall project schedules and requirements.
  • Inspect scaffolding structures regularly to verify stability, compliance, and quality, addressing any issues promptly.
  • Manage inventory of scaffolding materials and equipment, ensuring availability and proper maintenance.
  • Train and mentor scaffold builders on best practices, safety protocols, and technical skills to enhance team performance.
  • Document work progress, incidents, and safety compliance reports accurately and submit them to relevant stakeholders.
