What are the responsibilities and job description for the Band Saw Operator- Machine Operator position at Precision Material Handling Equipment?
Duties:
· Set up and use CNC band saws, shears, drill presses, punch presses, CNC brake presses, and metal forming machinery to fabricate parts per blueprints
· Prepare material for production- may include loading, unloading, lifting and moving material
· Keep work areas clean and organized and take proper care of all equipment and facilities- sweep, mop, removed debris
· Follow all company rules and policies
· Provide a great level of attention to detail and focus on the given task.
· Follow all safety rules and quality standards
· Work with team members to maximize productivity and efficiency
· Provide manufacturing support as required
Abilities and Skills:
· Must have strong knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and band saw operation
· Must have strong measuring skills using tape measures, calipers, and digital measuring devices
· Must have basic math skills
· Must be able to lift up to 60 lbs. and stand continuously for long periods of time
· Must use Personal Protective Equipment required for Machine Operators
· Must be versatile and able to adapt to daily requirements
· Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
· Ability to work independently
· Willing to work in excess of 40 hours a week
