What are the responsibilities and job description for the Land Surveyor - will train (instrument operator) position at Precision Land Surveying, Inc.?
Established land surveying firm is seeking a motivated individual to work as an Instrument Operator/Field Technician on a survey crew. Will train but some experience is preferred.
Responsibilities:
Perform various land surveying tasks, under the direction of a survey crew chief, including boundary line, topographic, utility and construction surveys. Operate, transport and care for land surveying instruments including total stations, data collectors, GPS and other land surveying equipment. Ability to learn and use surveying instruments. Ability to use basic hand tools such as a sledge hammer and shovel used to install stakes and field reconnaissance.
The ideal candidate will: relish working outdoors in a variety of terrains/weather conditions, be a team player, have good communication skills, and be well organized.
