Essential Job Functions:
- Take patient medical history before exams – 10%.
- Interpret doctors' written scanning instructions correctly – 10%.
- Explain procedures to patients to reduce anxiety and ensure cooperation – 10%.
- Position patients using immobilization devices for optimal image quality – 10%.
- Set technical parameters, operate X-ray machines, and observe image data – 30%.
- Evaluate X-rays for quality and determine if repeats are necessary – 10%.
- Assist radiologists with arthrograms – 10%.
- Support other modalities when needed – 10%.
Non-Essential Job Functions:
- Restock supplies and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
- Regularly sanitize waiting and procedure rooms.
Qualifications:
- ARRT(R) certified.
- BLS certified.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- Experience with radiologic procedures.
Skills & Abilities:
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in radiologic procedures.
- Venipuncture skills.
- Flexibility to adapt as needed within the center.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit, bend, and stand for extended periods.
- Able to lift up to 25 lbs. from ground to waist level.
