Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Patient Care Technician to join our healthcare team. This vital role involves providing direct patient care, supporting clinical operations, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations such as HIPAA. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, medical knowledge, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced medical environment. Prior experience in medical offices, ophthalmology, pediatrics, or clinic settings is highly valued. Primary duties are to pretest and room patients before each exam, as well as providing contact lens instruction for new wearers. Additional duties include coordinating and educating patients on products, procedures, and insurance benefits. Other duties may include scheduling specialist appointments, prepping charts, special testing, assisting the front desk with incoming calls, checking out patients as well as responding to “tech calls” for walk-in patients that are in need of assistance. Patient care experience preferred. Will train the right person.
