Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and provide exceptional customer service at the front desk, ensuring a positive experience.
- Assist with optical side including sales and frame selection based on insurance coverage.
- Verify insurance coverage, perform insurance eligibility checks, and handle insurance verification processes accurately.
- Collect and process payments.
- Manage patient records by updating medical histories, reviewing documentation, and maintaining confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Assist with intake procedures, including collecting medical history forms and explaining clinic policies to patients.
- Answer multi-line phone systems professionally, providing information or directing calls appropriately while maintaining excellent phone etiquette.
- Support administrative tasks such as filing, data entry (including 10 key typing), and managing electronic medical records (EMR systems).
- Maintain a clean and organized front office environment to ensure efficient clinic operations.
Requirements
- Excellent communication skills with professional phone etiquette; bilingual Mandarin is required based on our demographic patient population.
- Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive patient information in accordance with HIPAA standards.
- Proficiency in computer skills.
- Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail for documentation review and filing tasks.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a friendly demeanor.
Pay: From $20.00 per hour
