What are the responsibilities and job description for the Environmental Technician position at PRECISION ENVIRONMENTAL INC?
Precision Environmental Inc. has entry-level PT/FT field positions available for the right individual. Architectural/civil engineering, geology, biology, public health, environmental science, industrial hygiene or related educational background are welcomed. Will train individuals that are highly motivated and willing to work night and/or daytime hours and travel within the NYC metropolitan area.
Positions available include Industrial Hygienist/Environmental Technician to serve as part of a team of environmental, health and safety professionals that conducts water sample collection, industrial hygiene monitoring and environmental, health and safety compliance related projects.
Additional positions may include experienced technicians to conduct:
Indoor air quality investigations; lead/asbestos inspections-monitoring; mold assessments, field industrial hygiene and environmental sampling/monitoring, safety and health surveys-audits, and related duties. Performing fieldwork such as calibrating and operating equipment for air sampling and monitoring personnel exposure, obtaining media, submitting samples for laboratory analysis, collecting relevant data, observing field situations, and documenting events.
Qualifications may include: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Safety, Biology, Chemistry, Public Health, Environmental Science or a science related field.
Competitive salary commensurate with experience. . A valid driver’s license and vehicle is required.
