We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Traveling Electrical Superintendent to lead and oversee electrical construction projects across multiple locations. The Traveling Electrical Superintendent will coordinate with project teams, subcontractors, and clients, providing expert supervision and management of electrical work on diverse construction sites. Responsibilities
- Lead and manage electrical construction teams on multiple sites, ensuring efficient crew management and supervision of all electrical activities.
- Review and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and construction plans to ensure accurate execution of electrical systems.
- Oversee procurement, budgeting, and resource allocation for electrical components, ensuring cost-effective project delivery.
- Enforce strict adherence to OSHA standards, federal construction safety regulations, and company safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
- Conduct quality control inspections, supervise installation processes, and review construction drawings for accuracy and compliance.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure seamless communication and timely completion of project milestones.
- Utilize construction management tools like ProCore and Bluebeam to track progress, manage documentation, and facilitate project reporting.
- Supervise the review of contracts and manage change orders while maintaining compliance with all contractual obligations.
- Monitor construction schedule coordination across multiple sites, adjusting plans proactively to mitigate delays or issues.
- Ensure all work complies with construction regulations and safety standards while managing site-specific challenges effectively.
Experience
- Proven experience in heavy industrial or commercial electrical construction management with a strong background in managing large-scale projects.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high safety standards and quality control.
- Extensive knowledge of blueprint reading, interpreting technical drawings, and construction scheduling software such as ProCore and Bluebeam.
- Familiarity with federal safety regulations including OSHA standards related to electrical work on construction sites.
- Strong supervisory skills with experience managing crews across multiple locations or projects simultaneously.
- Hands-on experience with construction site activities including installation supervision, quality assurance, and safety enforcement.
- Ability to communicate effectively with diverse teams including subcontractors, clients and vendors.
- Knowledge of contracts management and experience reviewing technical documents related to electrical systems installation.
