Position Summary
Lays out, fits, torch cuts, and welds fabricated, cast, and forged components to assemble structure forms such as machinery frames, tanks, pressure vessels, furnace shells, and building and bridge parts by performing the following duties. Responsible for fabricating, joining, and repairing metal structures using various welding processes like shielded metal arc welding (SMAW), gas metal arc welding (GMAW), gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW), while adhering to safety protocols and quality standards.

For informational purposes only the range of pay for this role is $20.00 to $30.00US Dollar (USD)Hourly based on a variety of factors. For informational purposes only this role is eligible to participate in the Companys Quarterly Cash Bonus Plan paid out at the quarterly bonus factor of 1X the Companys bonus multiple based on the Companys performance in the applicable quarter. Employees will receive 120 hours paid time off every year. Employees will also receive 10 paid holidays. Employees and their families are eligible to participate in the company\'s medical dental vision and basic life insurance. Employees are eligible to enroll in the Companys 401k plan.120

- Selects equipment and plans layout, assembly, and welding.
- Lays out, positions, aligns, and fits components together.
- Bolts, clamps, and tack-welds parts to secure in position for welding.
- Sets up equipment and welds parts, using arc, gas-shielded arc, submerged arc, or gas welding equipment.
- Assembles parts by bolting and riveting.
- Repairs products by dismantling, straightening, reshaping, and reassembling parts.
- Repairs dies by grinding, scarfing and welding techniques.
- Maintain and make minor repairs to welding and other shop equipment.
- Assisting Senior Welders
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
- Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Demonstrate, in practice, the ability to read drawings, shape and fit pipes, choose welding method, perform welding, inspect welding.
- Ability to operate hand and power tools and equipment.
- Forklift & Aerial Lift Equipment certification.
- Safety training: Fire Safety, LOTO, Confined Space, Fall Protection etc.
- Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school in welding; and four to six years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
