Conditioner/Grinder

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

• Performs final surface inspection and conditioning of forged parts prior to shipment to customer.
• Applies in process identification to products per instructions.
• Conditions surface of in process parts.
• Operates hand grinding machine and observes operation to detect part defects or machine malfunction. Changes wheels and parts as trained.
• Measure’s part dimensions to determine accuracy of grinding operation.
• Removes burrs, sharp edges, rust, or scale from part.
• Maintains work area daily to be clean and free of safety hazards.
• Performs other routine duties.
  
  

Required Skills

• Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers.
• Ability to print and speak simple sentences.
• Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of weight measurement, volume, and distance.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
• Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  
  

Experience & Education

• Less than high school education; or up to one-year related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

For informational purposes only the range of pay for this role is $17 to $22US Dollar (USD)Hourly based on a variety of factors. For informational purposes only this role is eligible to participate in the Companys Quarterly Cash Bonus Plan paid out at the quarterly bonus factor of 1X the Companys bonus multiple based on the Companys performance in the applicable quarter. Employees will receive 80 hours paid time off every year. Employees will also receive 10 paid holidays.
