The quality inspector will demonstrate extensive knowledge of Geometric Dimension and Tolerancing (GD&T) methods per ASME 14.5. They will also demonstrate expert level blueprint reading and manufacturing/inspection related math skills. They will serve as SMEs for mechanical, assembly or CMM inspection. These inspectors read and interpret results of inspections to determine product conformance and will have enough knowledge of manufacturing processes to provide detailed feedback on ways to improve product quality. These inspectors work independently and escalate issues as needed. They will also demonstrate advanced knowledge in AS9102 reporting, including the ability to create reports independently.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Utilizing internal/external documents inspector will validate products meet requirements as indicated on blueprints or job travelers.
- Perform first final inspection to validate conformance of final product and readiness to ship to customer.
- Utilize Coordinate Measuring Machine to validate GD&T requirements.
- Reviews and approves AS9102 forms and other validation documentation
Required Experience:
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in industry or related field.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
- Basic computer knowledge including MS Office

High school diploma/GED equivalent or appropriate years of on-the job experience required.
