Role Description
We are seeking a full-time, on-site Director of Quality to join our team in Grand Rapids, MI. The Director of Quality will lead and oversee all quality assurance activities, ensuring compliance with aerospace industry standards and regulations. Key responsibilities include developing and implementing quality management systems, analyzing production and process data for optimization, and managing audit processes. The role also involves collaborating cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to address potential quality issues and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Expertise in Quality Management Systems (QMS), regulatory compliance, and quality assurance within the aerospace or manufacturing industry
- Strong skills in process analysis, monitoring, and optimization
- Experience in leading audits, including internal, external, and supplier audits
- Proficiency in problem-solving methodologies and continuous improvement processes
- Leadership capabilities, with experience in team management, coaching, and collaboration
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills for complex technical and operational challenges
- Bachelor's degree in Quality Management, Engineering, or a related field
- Familiarity with Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, or equivalent methodologies is a plus
