Duties
- Perform inventory management tasks, including stock counting, cycle counts, and inventory control using RF scanners
- Operate heavy equipment safely and effectively, including reach trucks, forklifts, cranes, pallet jacks, and order pickers to load, unload, and move materials throughout the warehouse.
- Assist with shipping and receiving processes by verifying shipments, preparing packages, and ensuring accurate order picking and packing for timely delivery.
- Support warehouse distribution activities by stocking shelves, organizing materials, and maintaining a clean and safe workspace in compliance with OSHA standards.
- Utilize mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting equipment issues and performing routine maintenance on tools like heavy machinery and packaging stations.
- Participate in warehouse safety protocols by adhering to OSHA guidelines and promoting a culture of safety awareness among team members.
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow efficiency, improve inventory accuracy, and support manufacturing or construction-related material handling when needed.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working in a warehouse environment with familiarity in warehouse distribution, shipping & receiving, or manufacturing settings.
- Strong knowledge of inventory management practices and experience using warehouse management systems (WMS) such as AS400 or similar platforms.
- Valid certification for operating heavy equipment including reach trucks, forklifts, cranes or order pickers; OSHA certification is preferred.
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to operate pallet jacks, load & unload trucks, perform heavy lifting safely, and handle materials with precision.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail for inventory control and stock accuracy.
- Prior experience in warehouse supervisor roles or leadership positions is a plus but not required.
Pay: $16.00 per hour
