Precise Personnel is now hiring a Facilities Technician for a Bakery warehouse in Jurupa Valley.The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, with overtime and some weekends.This is a temp-to-hire position and starts at $25 an hour. The Facilities Technician is responsible for performing a wide variety of maintenance, repair, and improvement tasks throughout facilities. This role ensures the upkeep, safety, and functionality of the building, equipment, and grounds. The Facilities Technician works in a fast-paced environment and is responsible for addressing maintenance requests, conducting routine inspections, and handling repairs efficiently. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or part of a team. Essential Duties: 1. General Repairs: Perform minor repairs on plumbing, electrical systems, doors, windows, and fixtures.2. Preventive Maintenance: Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on building systems and equipment.3. Facility Upkeep: Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of common areas, restrooms, and exterior grounds.4. Equipment Operation: Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment; perform regular checks to ensure proper operation.5. Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols, including wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) and following safety procedures.6. Documentation: Complete maintenance logs, repair records, and update work orders as necessary.7. Collaboration: Work closely with other maintenance staff, supervisors, and external contractors to resolve issues.8. Inventory Management: Help maintain an accurate count of maintenance supplies and tools, updating inventory records as needed.9. Process Improvement: Attend team meetings and contribute to discussions aimed at improving maintenance efficiency. Secondary Duties: 1. Assist other team members with special projects or tasks as assigned.2. Support general housekeeping and organization in maintenance and storage areas. Education, Experience, and Skills Required: 1. High school diploma or GED preferred.2. Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in general maintenance, repair, or handyman roles, preferably in a commercial or industrial environment.3. Ability to operate hand and power tools (certification is preferred but not required)4. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in completing repairs and maintenance tasks.5. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.6. Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.7. Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs.).8. Basic knowledge of safety protocols and equipment maintenance.9. Experience with maintenance software or facility management systems is a plus.
