Summary:The CNC Punch Machine Operator will review and interpret documentation to determine setup procedures, punching sequences, and dimensional locations needed to produce parts to specification. The ideal candidate understands tolerance requirements and can properly use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges. Duties / ResponsibilitiesReview work orders prior to starting work to ensure all previous processes are completed and signed off.Maintain basic timekeeping and job records in the company’s computer database.Create the first part and submit to the supervisor for approval.Check material thickness and part dimensions for conformance to design.Set up and operate the CNC punch machine.Punch, cut, shape, and form material according to design specifications.Mount, align, and secure tooling and attachments to the machine.Load control media or enter commands to retrieve pre-programmed machine instructions.Load and secure blanks into the machine; monitor the display and observe operations to detect malfunctions.Adjust machine speed or change tooling if programming errors or malfunctions occur.Review the first part using CAD software and/or laser measuring equipment as needed.Verify hole sizes and spacing using pins and other measuring tools.Sharpen and adjust punches and dies.Measure and inspect finished parts for conformance to design.Use precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges.Document and report any non-conformances to the supervisor.Produce the last part and submit for supervisor approval.Maintain a clean and organized work area.Perform preventative maintenance as assigned.Follow all safety rules and report any safety concerns immediately.Demonstrate self-motivation and the ability to maintain a steady work pace.Maintain a positive attitude with management and coworkers.Assist in other areas of the Manufacturing Department as needed.Lift parts weighing up to 50 lbs. when required.Company DescriptionWe are a staffing agency dedicated to connecting top talent with leading companies in various industries.
