Maintenance Worker

Job Title: Maintenance/Handyman – Aerospace Manufacturing

Department: Facilities/Maintenance

Reports To: Maintenance Supervisor

Job Summary:

The Maintenance/Handyman is responsible for performing general facility upkeep and maintenance tasks in a fast-paced aerospace manufacturing environment. This role requires a self-motivated individual who thrives on staying busy and contributing to the continuous operation of the production facility. Responsibilities include minor equipment repairs, facility maintenance, and support for various plant operations.

Key Responsibilities:

· Perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and repair of building systems (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, lighting, etc.).

· Respond to maintenance requests promptly to minimize downtime.

· Conduct general handyman repairs such as painting, drywall, patching, basic carpentry, and minor plumbing.

· Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with company and OSHA safety standards.

· Assist with machine and equipment setups and basic mechanical troubleshooting.

· Stay proactive and productive throughout the shift, always seeking ways to assist and improve facility operations.

· Monitor supplies and notify supervisor of material and equipment needs.

· Support ongoing facility improvements, workstation setups, and plant rearrangements.

· Collaborate with production and quality departments to ensure operational readiness.

· Maintain maintenance logs, service records, and documentation.

Qualifications:

· High school diploma or GED required.

· Minimum 2 years of hands-on maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment; aerospace preferred.

· Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.

· Strong multitasking ability with a proactive, can-do attitude.

· Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple priorities.

· Experience with hand and power tools.

· Able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as bending, standing, and walking for extended periods.
