Daily tasks include diagnosing system issues, performing preventive maintenance, checking refrigerant levels, testing electrical components, and ensuring systems operate safely and efficiently. The role also involves responding to service calls, discussing findings and recommendations with customers, preparing basic service documentation, and following company and safety procedures. The technician will work both independently and as part of a team, occasionally assisting with after-hours or emergency service when required.

Qualifications
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills for HVAC systems, including the ability to identify and resolve mechanical and performance issues efficiently.
- Experience with plumbing-related tasks associated with HVAC systems, such as condensate drainage, hydronic heating components, and basic piping work.
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices, including system inspections, filter changes, cleaning coils, and performance checks to extend equipment life.
- Working knowledge of electricity as it applies to HVAC systems, including reading wiring diagrams, checking voltage, and safely working with controls and motors.
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an HVAC technical program, apprenticeship, or equivalent on-the-job training is preferred.
- Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record and the ability to travel locally to customer sites.
- Ability to lift and move equipment as needed, work in various indoor and outdoor environments, and follow all safety guidelines and PPE requirements.
- Clear, professional communication skills and a customer-focused approach, with the ability to explain technical issues in understandable terms.
