CONCRETE FINISHER/LABORER
COMMERCIAL CONCRETE CONSTRUCTION. MUST BE PROFICIENT IN BLUE PRINTS, FORMING, REBAR, AND FINISHING. DRIVERS LICENSE REQUIRED, CDL A PLUS. MUST BE WILLING TO TRAVEL. BENEFITS & PAY BASED ON EXPERIENCE.
JOB DUTIES
- Spread, level and smooth concrete using rake, shovel, hand or power trowel, hand or power screed and float
- Operate power vibrator to compact concrete.
- Must understand layout, tape measure, building lines, elevations, square, plumb, etc..
- Set the forms that hold concrete to the desired pitch and depth and align them
- Install reinforcing rebar or mesh wire to strengthen the concrete
- Monitor how the wind, heat, or cold affects the curing of the concrete throughout the entire process to ensure a durable, smooth and uniform finish
- Produce rough concrete surface using broom
- Mold expansion joints and edges using edging tools, jointers and straightedge
- Signal truck driver to position truck to facilitate pouring concrete and move chute to direct concrete.
- Ensure adherence to safe work practices and procedures
- Drivers License
- Willing to travel
- Financially responsible with company credit card
- Perform other related duties and responsibilities as required
