JOB DESCRIPTION:SUMMARY ABOUT THE ROLE: Precipart, located in Farmingdale, NY, is seeking two Supplier Quality Engineers (Levels I–II) to support New Product Introduction (NPI) and manage supplier quality across our global supply base. Advancement is determined by proficiency in supplier quality engineering competencies, scope of responsibility, and the ability to work independently and lead cross-functional initiative.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Perform supplier quality process in compliance with Precipart standards and other applicable regulations (e.g., ISO 13485, AS9100 and ISO 9001).Qualify new suppliers in alignment with the Supply Chain and Sourcing teams.Conduct supplier risk assessments and implement mitigation actions.Monitor incumbent supply base performance (on-time delivery, quality performance, certification status, etc.).Drive completion of supplier related nonconformances and corrective actions.Establish and maintain supplier records and corrective action system files.Prepare and execute company-wide supplier quality audits (remote and on-site) in accordance with internal procedures.Develop and approve supplier validations of new products ensuring on-time and quality deliverables.Support Manufacturing NPI projects in alignment with Quality Engineering.Partner with Quality Systems & Quality Engineering to ensure compliance across all quality functions.Assist in quality investigations with customers when a supplier is involved, tracking complaints through to satisfactory completion.Identify and implement appropriate corrective actions to resolve concerns in line with ISO/AS, company, and customer requirements.Stay current with best practices, trends, standards and share knowledge with team members.Support customer and notified body audits as required.Responsible for conforming with the Company’s quality management system requirements, as well as contributing to its overall effectiveness, and the ultimate goals of customer satisfaction, product compliance and ethical practices/behavior.REQUIRED EXPERIENCE / SKILLS / EDUCATION:Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.Relevant internship, co-op, or 2 years of engineering or quality experience.Familiarity with supplier quality processes, including qualification, auditing, and part validations.Ability to read technical drawings and understand tolerances, special characteristics, etc.Must have excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.Strong problem solving and analytical ability.Highly organized, detail-oriented, able to manage multiple priorities.A self-starter with ability to work independently and in a team environment.Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint).Professional demeanor, strong work ethic, and dependabilityFlexible and adaptable to change with a forward-thinking mindset.Domestic and international travel up to 20%.Values treating people well, has an empathetic approach and mindset, is ambitious and strives for personal and collective excellence, supports diversity and inclusion, and has a positive outlook and attitude.Note: While this position is primarily targeted at Levels I & II, highly qualified candidates with significant experience and proven success in supplier quality may be considered for Level III responsibilities.PREFERRED EXPERIENCE / SKILLS / EDUCATION:Master’s Degree in Engineering, Business Administration or another related field.Certified Quality AuditorKnowledge of validation processes (IQ, OQ, PQ, PPAP).Knowledge of quality core tools such as FMEA, 8D, MSASpeaks German and/or French.Pay Range: $75,000 to $90,000 annual salary.We welcome candidates of all experience levels to apply.
