We are a small family run business that has an office that operates as the central main office for bookkeeping and financials for rental properties and assisted living communities. We are looking for a bookkeeper who is motivated to work in a friendly environment and has the following high-level skills:

  • Detail Oriented, Organized, and Driven
  • Able to work alone and with minimal direction
  • MUST be computer proficient with strong experience with QuickBooks and Microsoft Office

The Bookkeeper position will work closely with other office staff and offsite staff to ensure operational procedures are executed timely and files kept to the highest standard.

Education:

Associates in Business with an emphasis in accounting or comparable work experience.

Qualifications:

  • 3 years bookkeeping experience
  • Advanced computer skills in MS Office and Excel and QuickBooks
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and self-direct
  • Filing requires ability to stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, balance on stepping stool, lift up to 20 lbs.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee financials for 2 main companies and 2 smaller ones
  • Manage A/P - verify and enter vendor bills, manage check runs ensuring accuracy of invoice entry and correct coding in QuickBooks
  • Manage all A/R - creating and sending invoices, receiving payments, etc.
  • Manage Monthly Reconciliations (Bank and Credit Card)
  • Ensure deposits are done daily
  • Assist staff and customers with invoice retrieval/questions
  • Manage Petty Cash
  • Support monthly, quarterly, and yearly reporting (including coordination with tax accountant)
  • Ensure office is kept organized and runs smoothly (e.g., filing, supplies stocked, tidy/clean)
  • Answer phones and address questions directed to main office

Job Types: Part-time, Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $25.00 per hour
