Summary
We are seeking a passionate and energetic Lead Two's Teacher to join our early childhood education team. In this vital role, you will lead the development and implementation of engaging, age-appropriate activities that foster growth, curiosity, and a love for learning among toddlers. You will serve as a role model for other staff members, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment where every child feels valued and supported. Your expertise in child development instruction and classroom management will help lay the foundation for lifelong learning and well-being. We are paid weekly (Every Friday) and we are paid for holidays! This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in young children’s lives while working within a collaborative team dedicated to excellence in childcare.
Lead Two Year Old Teacher Skills
- Proven experience working with infants in daycare or settings, including classroom experience and daycare center experience for a minimum of 1 year is required
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and infant care techniques
- Expertise in child supervision, toddler care, and excellent communication skills for parent engagement in person and on our childcare app
- Ability to manage classroom dynamics effectively while maintaining a nurturing and stimulating environment
- Familiarity with early childhood education and licensing standards, classroom management tools, and Virginia Quality Birth to Five
Lead Two Year Old Teacher Key Responsibilities:
- Curriculum and Instruction: Implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities using our monthly calendar to engage and support each child’s growth
- Classroom Management: Create and maintain a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment
- Family Communication: Maintain open, effective and positive communication with families and guardians about their child’s progress and daily activities
- Health and Safety: Supervise children during indoor and outdoor activities to uphold health and safety standards, licensing regulations and ensure their well-being
- Professional Development: Participate actively in ongoing professional development and training opportunities to enhance teaching skills
- Assessment and Documentation: Observe, assess and document children’s learning and development to inform activities and share insights with families
- Team Collaboration: Support Co-Teachers fostering a collaborative and positive team environment.
- Behavior Guidance: Model and implement positive guidance strategies to support social-emotional growth and conflict resolution.
