Duties and Responsibilities
- Analyze raw material requirements and place purchase orders aligned with short‑ and long‑term production forecasts
- Partner with external manufacturing firms to support new product designs and prototyping efforts
- Collaborate with internal teams to provide pricing quotes, component availability, and procurement support
- Coordinate resolution of over‑shipments, short‑shipments, incorrect materials, and rejected or defective parts
- Select suppliers based on quality, cost, delivery, and overall production objectives
Education and Experience
- Associate’s Degree in Business, Purchasing, or Production Operations Management or completion of one or more ASCM courses (CPIM and/or CSCP recommended)
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working with ERP systems
Required Skills & Abilities
- Strong judgment, professionalism, and integrity in all business dealings
- Ability to read and interpret detailed material specifications
- Effective communication skills with internal teams and external suppliers
- Strong organizational skills with attention to accuracy and detail
- Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn departmental systems
