As a Ready Mix Driver, you will serve the construction and oil & gas sectors, delivering ready-mixed concrete to various job sites. You will also be responsible for maintaining high standards of safety and customer service. Accommodations and a daily per diem are provided to support your time on the job.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a ready mix truck to transport and deliver concrete to construction sites.
- Perform pre-trip, in-transit, and post-trip inspections of the truck to ensure vehicle safety and regulatory compliance.
- Secure all loads properly and ensure delivery in a timely and professional manner.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, supervisors, and job site personnel regarding job site conditions and delivery logistics.
- Maintain accurate delivery records and complete necessary paperwork promptly.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
- Perform minor maintenance and cleaning of the vehicle to ensure operational readiness.
- Represent GRM professionally at job sites, ensuring excellent customer service.
- Valid CDL (Class A or B) with at least 2 years of licensed driving experience (required for insurance purposes).
- At least 2 years of driving experience in ready mix delivery or fluid hauling (strongly preferred).
- Clean driving record with strong safety history.
- Experience operating heavy trucks in construction or oil & gas environments.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong understanding of DOT safety regulations and best practices.
- Effective communication skills and a customer-service-focused mindset.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including climbing, lifting, and operating heavy equipment.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts and extended hours as needed.
