LOCATION: Hobbs, NM
CONTEXT: Our client, a growing oilfield services company, is seeking an experienced HSEQ Specialist to support field operations in the Hobbs, New Mexico area. This position plays a critical role in promoting a strong safety culture, ensuring regulatory compliance, managing incidents and investigations, and serving as a trusted resource for both field personnel and management.
The ideal candidate will have a strong oilfield safety background, excellent communication skills, and be fully bilingual in English and Spanish to effectively support a diverse workforce.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Promote and maintain a proactive Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality (HSEQ) culture throughout field operations.
- Conduct field audits, inspections, observations, and safety meetings to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Lead incident investigations, root cause analyses, corrective action development, and follow-up activities.
- Manage recordable incidents, near misses, injury reporting, and workers' compensation case management.
- Maintain accurate HSEQ records, documentation, and regulatory reporting requirements.
- Deliver safety orientations, training sessions, and toolbox talks in both English and Spanish.
- Provide coaching and guidance to supervisors and field personnel regarding safe work practices.
- Monitor compliance with OSHA, DOT, environmental regulations, and customer-specific requirements.
- Track safety metrics, identify trends, and recommend continuous improvement initiatives.
- Serve as a liaison between operations, employees, management, and external agencies regarding safety-related matters.
- Assist with emergency response planning and incident preparedness efforts.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum 5 years of HSE/HSEQ experience within the oilfield services industry.
- Fluent bilingual communication skills (English and Spanish) are required.

- Workers' compensation and case management
- Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and oilfield safety standards.
- Experience conducting field audits, inspections, and safety training.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic safety management systems.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
Preferred Qualifications
- OSHA 30-Hour Certification
- First Aid/CPR Certification
- Experience supporting drilling, completion, production, or oilfield service operations
- B.S. degree in Safety, Environmental Science, Occupational Health, or related field (preferred but not required)
