Job Title: Advocate Coordinator
Reporting Relationship: Compassionate Support Services (CSS) Director

Position Summary: Primary purpose of this position is to oversee and improve the client intake and volunteer advocate processes within Compassionate Support Services (CSS), ensuring high-quality, compassionate support for clients and effective training and supervision of volunteers (advocate and reception).
Specific Responsibilities:
Processes for Client Intake and Volunteer Advocate:
o Oversee the client intake process, including the reception desk
o Lead the on-the-job advocate training for staff and volunteers
o Oversee and support volunteer advocates to ensure client needs are met, providing supervision, encouragement, and prayer
o Update volunteer schedules and calendars
o Maintain confidentiality throughout all CSS processes
o Check and respond to external email references to ensure timely intake and follow-up
Client Relations:
o Meet with clients as needed to understand their needs, challenges, and goals
o Serve as a contact for client questions, concerns, processes, etc.
o Provide expertise to staff and volunteers related to community resources, services, and programs
o Update, document, maintain, and communicate community resources to CSS staff and volunteers
Donor/Volunteer Relations:
o Provide tours of the CSS facility as requested
o Assist with donation drop-offs in the warehouse as needed
o Collaborate with the warehouse coordinator to train volunteer advocates to assist with donation drop-offs in the warehouse area as needed
o Host after-hours volunteer groups on occasion (approximately one time per month)
Additional Responsibilities:
o Communicate with CSS Director and Operations Office regarding client stories and photos for publication, Facebook posts, newsletters, Board meetings, and speaking engagements
o Cross-train in CSS programs and provide support as needed
o Attend all required meetings: staff, departmental, and in-service training, as required
o Assist with and/or attend PRC events (Gala, volunteer events, Walk for Life, etc.), as directed
o Perform other tasks as assigned by the CSS Director
Position Requirements:
o Bachelor’s degree and minimum of two years demonstrated experience in social work, community health, advocacy, case management, or social services preferred
o Demonstrated cultural competence, with ability to understand, respect, and effectively work with diverse backgrounds, ensuring equitable and sensitive support for all clients
o Detail focused
o Excellent organizational skills
o Outstanding interpersonal skills with a nonjudgmental and empathetic approach
o Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
o Passionate about the needs and spiritual growth of underserved moms/dads
o Willingness to learn, teach, and inform
o Ability to provide spiritual leadership, discipleship, and support to volunteers and clients
o Understands and models servant leadership
o Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office, Google documents, forms, and presentations
o Familiar and/or willing to learn Zoom, Google Meets, and TEAMS
o Self-starter, able to work independently in a fast-paced environment
o Bilingual proficiency Spanish/English is a plus but not required
o Ability to physically lift 25 lbs.
o Abide by PRC’s policy for client confidentiality; maintain confidentiality while working with highly sensitive data
