What You Will Do:
A Process Engineer is responsible for supporting the PW1900 Engine Program and for the creation of work instructions, production support, and various projects focused around meeting business initiatives.
The candidate must demonstrate interpersonal and team skills, strong communication skills and the ability to multi-task and adapt to changing business requirements. Additionally, we’ll be looking for individuals with strong business acumen, willingness to implement and drive lean manufacturing techniques, and the ability to develop and insert new technologies into the production assembly process.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.
The salary range for this role is 101,000 USD - 203,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.
Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

Key responsibilities include:
- Support and Maintain the creation of manufacturing instructions
- Develop assembly engineering proficiency
- Promote the use of data driven root cause and corrective action tool usage to support
- On-Time production CAR (Corrective Action Request) closure
- Support all EH&S (Environment, Health & Safety) initiatives (PRA, Work-Fit, Ergo) by driving safe processes across all production product lines.
- Implement and execute engineering changes to ensure customer requirements are met and build commitments are achieved.
- Develop, plan, & implement capital requirements to support productivity improvements, technology insertion and capacity for future programs.
- Continue to ensure production support for PW1900
- Lead/Participate in Employee Engagement initiatives and activities demonstrated through diverse work groups as part of the PDC’s Leadership Team.
- Drive product cost reduction and ensure War on Cost targets are achieved through process improvements and deployment of new technologies .
- Support CORE activities as required.
- A Bachelor's degree and minimum 7 years' experience in a manufacturing environment
- Technical proficiency in complex manufacturing activities
- Experience motivating, influencing, collaborating and gaining cooperation and action from others
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook with ability to use Minitab and other statistical software; proficiency in statistics, data analytics, DOE, and multivariate statistics
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
- Advanced degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
- OEM Manufacturing experience, ideally within a gas turbine repair Assembly & Test (DAT) facility.
- LEAN, Continuous Improvement, and/or CORE, ACE, Six-Sigma training and experience.
- Experience with SAP ERP, MS Office, and Solumina MES or similar Engine Maintenance System.
- Ability to communicate at all levels of the organization and motivate teams to achieve business goals
