The Regional Process and Methods Engineer will need to drive and accelerate output growth at Disassembly, Assembly, and Test (DAT) sites, specifically new DATs in the Asia-Pacific Region. The candidate must demonstrate strong communication, influencing, and interpersonal skills, as this role will require engagement with internal and external Leadership and teams. Individual must embrace CORE tools and methods and be able to thrive in a highly visible, challenging, and dynamic setting. This is an Expat role based in Beijing, China at AMECO (Aircraft Maintenances and Engineering Corporation), and provides on-site support to other GTF DATs in the APAC region.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.
Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.
The salary range for this role is 124,000 USD - 250,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

What You Will Do:
- Accelerate shop proficiency of assembly / disassembly / balance processes, driving operational execution to takt-time and turnaround time (TAT) goals
- Mentor and develop shop technical teams to become proficient in GTF MRO assembly/disassembly/balance processes, tooling, and troubleshooting
- Partner with DATs and PW Resident Center Managers (RCMs) to align on production plans, progress, and pacing items; drive resolution on resulting action items, leveraging PW expertise across the matrix
- Engage with, influence, and communicate to internal/external senior leaders regarding DAT performance, including proposed solutions or help needed
- Document lessons learned and best practices during shop trainings and operations; evolve the new DAT training curriculum and/or influence Engine Manual updates to memorialize learnings and improve effectivity and efficiency of new DAT on-boarding and operations
- Deliver GTF special procedure training and troubleshooting as part of source-approved assembly / disassembly / balance procedures at network DATs
- Provide on-site training for Service Bulletins, Engineering Changes, and new workscopes to support site qualification and readiness
- Provide regional leadership and support for network-wide technical investigations and root cause/corrective actions, including DAT Test First Pass Yield (FPY)
- GTF Aftermarket operations – GTF engine disassembly/assembly/balance, shop processes, and network-wide technical / tooling challenges and optimization opportunities that impact engine overhaul and output
- External (“customer” / partner / supplier) focus – direct interaction with leadership and teams across 3rd party/airline DATs
- P&W Matrix management – interaction with leadership and teams across various commercial, operations, and engineering organizations
- English and Mandarin Chinese (read, write, speak) is required when communicating with customers, co-workers, or supervisors who only speak English or Mandarin Chinese.
- Bachelor's Degree with 10 years of engine assembly, operations, or engineering experience. In absence of a degree, High School Diploma with 14 years of relevant experience
- Ability to travel (up to 50%) and obtain travel visas, as needed for Taiwan, South Korea, Japan, Singapore, European Union, and United States
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. RTX will not offer sponsorship for this position
- Demonstrated ability to effectively and proactively communicate to and influence leadership, peers, and cross-functional teams
- Master's Degree with 7 years of relevant experience
- Ability to effectively manage projects across time zones
- Working knowledge of continuous improvement principles (e.g. CORE, Six Sigma, Lean manufacturing)
- Highly motivated / self-starter
