What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Assistant - Clinic position at Pratt Regional Medical Center?
Job Summary: Assist in office practice, which includes duties such as: rooming patients, obtaining vitals, reviewing patient health history, filing in patient charts, assisting physicians with minor office procedures, managing patient phone calls, scheduling patient procedures and tests, obtaining pre-certification of insurance when needed and other clerical aspects of the job relating to clinical practice.
Job Qualifications: High school diploma or its equivalent. C.N.A. or Medical Assistant certification preferred. Knowledge of basic vitals, clerical skills such as filing, typing, and basic computer skills. Ability to organize and complete multiple tasks quickly and efficiently. The ability to work well with others, and to have good personal skills and care for patients is a must.
