Reporting to the Head Volleyball Coach, the Assistant Coach will assist in developing, organizing, and administering all aspects of a competitive NCAA Division III volleyball program.
Examples of Duties
- Assist the Head Coach with various aspects of coaching, such as planning and executing practices, video review and opponent scouting, and game planning
- Drive the team to practices and games.
- Aid in prospective student-athlete recruitment
- Follow NCAA Division III rules and regulations and pass annual Coaches Exam
- Complete campus Title IX and DEI training
- Support and attend designated department and campus functions
- Perform other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree
- Volleyball coaching / playing experience
- Availability to work nights and weekends for games and early morning practices is a must
- Valid driver’s license with the ability to drive a 12-passenger van
- Ability to work well in diverse environment
- AED/CPR/First Aid Certification
- Volleyball coaching experience at the collegiate level
- Recruiting experience at the collegiate level
- Professional references will be requested later in the interview process. Candidates should be prepared to provide at least three professional references, including two current or former managers/supervisors. We encourage submitting up to five references total to ensure alternate contacts are available if needed.
