What are the responsibilities and job description for the Stacker Operator 2nd Shift position at Pratt Industries?
As a Stacker Operator, you’ll be part of our corrugator team, responsible for stacking, tagging and preparing finished units for shipment. This is a hands-on role for someone who’s dependable, detail-oriented, and ready to grow in a fast-paced production environment.
Shift: 2nd Shift (4:00 PM – 2:00 AM) — Must be available for overtime and occasional weekend work as needed
Starting Pay: $18.00/hour – Eligible for pay increases at 90 days and 6 months based on performance and attendance.
What You’ll Do
- Operate conveyor lines and unitizer to stack finished units
- Insert protective top/bottom sheets and tie sheets when needed
- Count and verify unit and inch count; ensure proper load tags are in each unit
- Restack, flip stack and hand-band units as necessary
- Communicate with operators and team about production flow
- Help train others and cross-train on other corrugator roles
- Submit maintenance requests and support equipment upkeep
- Learn to read corrugator lineups and support other roles (Slitter Operator, Doublebacker)
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas

What to Expect on the Job
- You’ll be on your feet for most of you shift. This includes standing, walking, bending, kneeling and regularly or moving up to 40 pounds
- You will work near moving mechanical parts and in an environment where noise, vibration, and airborne particles are common
- The facility is not climate controlled, which means it can be very hot in the summer and cold in the winter
- Personal protective equipment (PPE) such as hearing protection, protective footwear, and safety glasses must be worn at all times
