Entry Level Accountant - Jacksonville, IL

PAY RANGE: $19.00 to $25.00 / hour

In addition to base pay, you may be eligible for overtime, commission, performance-based increases, and bonuses.

As an Entry Level Accountant, you will work alongside experienced team members and have opportunities for continued growth and advancement within the organization.

What You'll Do:

• Perform accounting and clerical duties that support accurate financial reporting and business operations.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts and assist with financial transaction processing.
• Enter, organize, and maintain accurate information within the AgVance ERP system.
• Assist with financial analysis, account entries, and preparation of reports.
• Review records, identify discrepancies, and help resolve accounting errors.
• Support audit preparation and maintain organized financial documentation.
• Assist with inventory tracking, verification, and reconciliation processes.
• Prepare reports required for business operations, government, and regulatory agencies.
• Help ensure compliance with accounting standards, company procedures, and financial policies.

What We're Looking For:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• Knowledge of fundamental accounting principles, including proper application of debits and credits.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.
• Strong computer skills and the ability to learn new software systems.
• Professional communication skills and a commitment to providing excellent customer service.
• Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team environment.
• High level of integrity and ability to maintain confidential information.
