Duties
- Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute framing projects.
- Construct wall frames, roof trusses, metal stud framing, and other structural components using hand tools and power tools.
- Erect metal buildings and install siding, stucco, drywall, and trim carpentry elements with precision.
- Perform concrete forming, rebar installation, and concrete finishing to support structural integrity.
- Operate heavy equipment safely for lifting and positioning large materials or structural components.
- Manage construction site activities including layout measurements, dimensional checks, and ensuring adherence to safety standards.
- Collaborate with construction management teams to interpret project plans and meet deadlines efficiently.
Requirements
- Proven experience in framing carpentry, metal building erection, masonry, roofing, or related construction fields.
- Skilled in blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and technical drawing comprehension.
- Proficient with hand tools such as tape measures, saws, hammers, levels, as well as power tools required for framing work.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work at heights on scaffolding or ladders when necessary.
- Strong understanding of construction plans involving metal stud framing, plastering, siding installation, and restoration projects.
- Knowledge of rebar installation, concrete forming techniques, welding basics, and drywall finishing is highly desirable.
- Excellent spatial awareness with the ability to take precise dimensional measurements using tape measures or other tools.
- Capable of working independently or as part of a team on fast-paced construction sites while maintaining safety protocols.
