Prairie View is seeking a compassionate and driven Substance Use Disorder Counselor to join our team in McPherson, Kansas. This role provides the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by supporting individuals and families through recovery while working alongside a collaborative clinical team.
What You’ll Do
Clinical Responsibilities
- Provide individual and group counseling to individuals and family members
- Conduct assessments both in-person and via telehealth
- Develop, implement, and update individualized treatment plans
- Communicate regularly with referral sources and care partners
- Maintain clinical outcomes in alignment with Prairie View standards
- Support coordination of care and services across providers
Administrative Responsibilities
- Complete timely and accurate documentation in compliance with Prairie View and licensing standards
- Attend administrative and team meetings as scheduled
- Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary staff
- Participate in clinical supervision as needed
- Engage in ongoing staff development and required trainings

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Addiction Counseling or a related field required
- Will consider a Kansas Licensed QMHP, with preference given to licensed addiction counselors
- Eligible credentials include LAC, LMAC, or LCAC
- Preferred: Candidate holds an LMAC or LCAC
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience in behavioral health, clinical counseling, or case management
- Experience working with adolescents, adults, and older adults in a substance use disorder setting

This position is based in McPherson, KS. Applicants must be able to reliably commute to this location.
