Position Overview
We’re looking for a motivated horticulturist who is passionate about plants, eager to learn, and ready to step into a leadership role. This position is ideal for someone who wants hands-on experience in ecological landscaping while growing into managing crews and leading projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Install and maintain native plant landscapes (prairies, matrix gardens, rain gardens, etc.)
• Identify native and invasive plant species
• Assist with site prep (sod cutting, planting, mulching, seeding)
• Lead small crews on installs and maintenance projects
• Train and guide team members on plant care and installation techniques
• Monitor plant health and ensure high-quality project outcomes
• Communicate with team and leadership to keep projects running smoothly

What We’re Looking For

• Background or strong interest in horticulture, ecology, or landscaping
• Willingness to learn quickly and take initiative
• Leadership mindset, ready to lead a crew and take ownership of projects
• Strong work ethic and ability to work outdoors in varying conditions
• Knowledge of native Wisconsin plants is a plus (but not required)
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and handle physical work
• Valid driver’s license and a vehicle
