6AM-6PM, 1 or more days/week
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Charge Nurse to join our healthcare team. The Charge Nurse will play a pivotal role in overseeing resident care, managing nursing staff, and ensuring that the highest standards of medical practices are upheld. This position requires strong leadership skills, clinical expertise, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Supervise nursing staff and coordinate resident care activities to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized care plans for residents.
- Oversee , processing and ensure accurate medical documentation and physician orders.
- Administer and manage medication administration as required.
- EMR system; utilize Point Click Care
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care in various settings including home care, medical-surgical units, emergency rooms, and acute care facilities.
- Manage Durable Medical Equipment (DME) needs for residents.
- Address behavioral health concerns as part of holistic patient management.
- Mentor and train nursing staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
Qualifications
- Current Kansas nursing license
- Proven experience in a clinical setting, preferably in roles related to long term care and assisted living
- Strong skills in specimen collection processing, medical documentation, IV insertion, and patient assessment.
- Preferred experience with Point Click Care (EMR)
- Knowledge of behavioral health principles is an advantage.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
