Nursing Assistant Job Description
Current Opening:
Monday-Thursday Night Shift
Monday-Thursday 4 to 8 pm
Weekend Friday, Saturday and Sunday Dayshift 6am to 6pm & Night shift 6pm to 6am
Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nursing Assistant to join our healthcare team. This role requires a strong understanding of resident centered care . The Nursing Assistant will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for residents by assisting with daily activities and ensuring their comfort and safety.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and assisting at meals.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, and blood pressure.
- Provide support in mobility and transferring residents safely from beds to wheelchairs or other locations.
- Maintain residents hygiene and assist as needed.
- Communicate effectively with nursing staff regarding residents conditions and any changes observed.
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality and privacy at all times.
- Support residents in rehabilitation exercises under the guidance of healthcare professionals.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and safe environment for residents by following infection control protocols.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Nursing Assistant is preferred
- Experience in nursing homes is beneficial.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.
- Compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others.
