What are the responsibilities and job description for the Professional Youth Care Worker position at Prairie Lakes Youth Programs?
Essential Functions
- Work in a structured residential setting supporting youth involved in the juvenile justice system.
- Build positive, professional relationships with the youth while providing guidance, encouragement, and accountability.
- Help create a safe, respectful environment where youth can learn, grow, and make positive choices.
- Provide supervision and support throughout daily routines, activities, meals, school, recreation, and other programming.
- Use good judgement and calm communication to handle challenging situations and resolve conflict.
- Follow established safety, security, and facility procedures.
- Complete accurate documentation and communicate important information to co-workers and supervisors and for legal purposes.
- Serve as a potential role model by demonstrating integrity, patience, respect and professionalism.

Pay: $23.14 - $27.53 per hour
