Position Summary
Prairie Grit Therapy is excited to offer a unique opportunity for a licensed mental health therapist to help establish and grow mental health services within our organization. This role is ideal for a motivated, innovative clinician who is passionate about building programming, shaping service delivery, and making a lasting impact on the individuals and families we serve.
We are seeking providers interested in working with pediatric, adult, or a combination of both populations. This position offers a highly flexible schedule, with part-time and full-time opportunities available, as well as the ability to set your own work hours. Prairie Grit Therapy is located within the Minot Family YMCA, providing a motivating, functional, and inclusive environment for therapeutic services.
As Prairie Grit continues to grow, this position offers the ability to be creative, develop programming, and help define the future of integrated mental health services within a community-based wellness setting.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive, age-appropriate evaluations and assessments for pediatric and/or adult clients.
- Provide evidence-based individual, family, and group therapy services.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to support clients in achieving emotional, behavioral, and functional goals.
- Support clients in coping with life challenges, improving relationships, and enhancing overall quality of life.
- Coordinate care and connect clients with community resources, support services, and referrals as needed.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary occupational, speech, and physical therapy team, including therapy staff and YMCA personnel, to support a holistic, wellness-based approach.
- Reassess client progress regularly and modify treatment plans accordingly.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential documentation in compliance with legal and professional standards.
- Provide education to clients, families, and caregivers tailored to individual needs, diagnoses, and age.
- Contribute to program development and growth of mental health services within Prairie Grit.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming therapy environment within shared YMCA spaces.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and continuing education.
- Provide in-service training or education to staff as appropriate.
Skills Required/Qualifications:
Education:
- Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related clinical field
Licensure:
- Licensed or license-eligible in a clinical field (ex, LMSW, LCSW, LPC, LAPC, LPCC) in accordance with state board requirements
- Preference giving to individuals with terminal licensure (LPCC, LCSW)
- Additional incentives possible for individuals with credentials required to provide clinical supervision
- Current North Dakota license (or ability to obtain)
- Current CPR certification
Experience:
- Clinical experience working with pediatric and/or adult populations preferred
- Interest or experience in program development, interdisciplinary collaboration, or community-based care is a plus
