Position Summary
The Recruiting Specialist plays a key role in shaping the future of Prairie Field Services by designing, managing, and executing full cycle recruiting strategies that attract top talent across multiple disciplines and regions. This position partners closely with business leaders to forecast workforce needs, support organizational growth, and enhance the company’s employment brand.
In this role, you will also support marketing initiatives by contributing to social media management and company advertising efforts, ensuring Prairie Field Services maintains a strong and authentic presence in the marketplace.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead full cycle recruiting efforts including sourcing, screening, interviewing, salary negotiation, background checks, and DOT pre-employment requirements.
- Maintain expert-level knowledge of company operations, hiring needs, available positions, equipment, and compensation packages to accurately guide candidates through the application process.
- Conduct applicant screening, interview qualified candidates, manage MVR processing, and ensure all DOT and internal hiring standards are met.
- Present qualified candidates to hiring managers, recommend selections for hire, and deliver employment offers for both exempt and non-exempt positions.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with candidates throughout the hiring process, providing timely updates regarding benefits, compensation, job expectations, and DOT requirements.
- Manage company social media platforms, including Facebook and LinkedIn, and support content creation to elevate brand awareness and engagement.
- Utilize both traditional and innovative recruiting methods—career fairs, online job events, networking opportunities, and social media—to attract high-quality talent.
- Partner with hiring managers to determine staffing needs and assist in drafting and refining job descriptions.
- Develop staffing forecast dashboards and provide comparative data on results versus projections, considering workforce needs during peak and slow periods.
- Maintain, analyze, and report recruiting metrics, including weekly progress updates for leadership.
- Manage candidate pipelines through the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and always ensure data integrity.
- Ensure compliance with all federal and state employment laws and company policies.
- Maintain accurate, confidential records within the HRIS system and applicable personnel files.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- 2 years of recruiting experience preferred
- 1 year of marketing and/or social media management experience preferred
- DOT hiring experience strongly preferred
- Experience in trucking, oil & gas, or manufacturing industries preferred
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to manage multiple priorities with a strong sense of urgency
- Skilled in social networking and internet sourcing strategies
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality
- Exceptional organizational and time-management skills
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $50,000 – $60,000 annually
- Comprehensive benefits package including PTO, medical, dental, vision, life, short- and long-term disability, 401(k), and supplemental benefits
