Network Operations Technician (NOC) – Hybrid | Allen, TX

Overview
We are seeking a Network Operations Technician (NOC) to support high-availability, cloud-enabled customer environments. This is a hands-on, incident-response-focused role ideal for candidates with networking fundamentals and troubleshooting experience.
This is a temporary-to-hire opportunity with strong potential for full-time conversion.
Work Schedule
- Swing Shift: Wednesday – Saturday
- Hours: 2:00 PM – 12:30 AM (CT)
- Must be comfortable working 10-hour shifts
Work Model
- Hybrid: 2 days onsite per week
- Work is primarily based out of the Allen, TX office
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and respond to network events in a NOC environment
- Manage incidents using ServiceNow (Incident, Change, Problem Management)
- Perform network surveillance and event response
- Troubleshoot IP network connectivity issues
- Resolve service-impacting incidents within defined SLAs
- Collaborate with SMEs on complex technical issues
- Provide customer-facing support via phone, email, and web portal
- Communicate effectively during outages and critical events
- Manage and track vendor tickets
Basic Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1 year of experience troubleshooting-IP network connectivity
- 1 year of experience troubleshooting: Routers, switches, servers, endpoints, and terminal devices
- Working knowledge of networking protocols: VPN, BGP, MPLS, SIP
- Ability to read and interpret network diagrams (e.g., Visio)
- Strong communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Network Operations Center (NOC) or telecommunications
- Cisco CCNA or CCST certification
- ITIL certification
- Exposure to AWS or cloud monitoring tools
