Job Title: Family Practice/Internal Medicine Physician
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate physician to join our dynamic team at White Earth Health Center in Ogema, MN.
This is a full-time contract opportunity in our family medical clinic, with the option for extension.
The ideal candidate will have experience as an MD or DO, preferably in family practice or internal medicine, with a strong background in adult and pediatric care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Examine and diagnose health-related conditions of individuals requesting care.
- Refer individuals for consultation when appropriate.
- Prescribe and carry out, or direct others in carrying out, appropriate therapy in conformance with approved clinical privileges.
- Educate individuals in the nature of health-related conditions, recommended therapy, and in the general promotion of health and the prevention of disease.
- Record patient-provider transactions in the problem-oriented medical record format and complete required data collection instruments, referrals, and medical records as needed.
- Maintain Medical Staff clinical privileges as granted by the facility governing body or Service Unit Credentials Committee.
- Fully participate in medical staff functions such as medical program review, quality assurance activities, and organizational functions including attending meetings and accepting committee assignments.
Requirements:
- Completion of a 3-year residency program in a primary care specialty such as Family Practice, Pediatrics, or Internal Medicine.
- A current, active, full, and unrestricted license or registration from a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States.
- Board certification in Family Medicine.
- Current BLS, Basic Life Support certification.
- Certification of Education - copy of diploma or transcripts.
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
- Completion of an accredited Family Medicine residency program.
- DEA license and eligibility to prescribe medication.
- A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in family practice.
Preferred Qualifications:
- IHS facility experience.
- Previous Locum Tenens experience.
- US citizenship and a willingness to comply with all state and federal regulations regarding medical practice.
